18th Botanical Conference of Thailand (BCT18)

การประชุมวิชาการพฤกษศาสตร์แห่งประเทศไทย ครั้งที่ 18

June 18-20, 2026

Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand
collaboration

Botanical Conference of Thailand (BCT) is an annual conference organized by a rotating university hosts in collaboration with the Botanical Society of Thailand. The BCT provides platforms for students and researchers from around Thailand to exchange ideas and present the most recent findings from their botanical research. The conference also builds bridges to establish future collaborations among botanists throughout the country.

In 2026, the 18th BCT will be organized by Chulalongkorn University, along with two University partners: Naraesuan University and Walailak University. We are honored to invite you to participate in this conference. The congress themes are very broad covering several approaches of biological sciences.

“In the light of Botany”

Plants are an important part of the biosphere, especially on terrestrial environments. Through the eyes of plants, we might get new understandings about the natural world.

This theme was adapted from the famous quote by Thedosius Dobshanzsky: "Nothing in biology make sense except in the light of evolution". Although the quote is a bit exaggerated, looking at biology from different perspectives can give us new insights that we do not previously realized.
